Mirwan Suwarso kembali menampilkan karya drama wayang musikal ketiga “Arjuna Wiwaha” yang dipentaskan di Senayan City the Hall 8th floor, tanggal 31 Maret 2012, jam 15.00 – 17.00 – 19.00. Seperti dalam karya sebelumnya “Gatotkaca JadiRaja”, Aksan Sjuman kembali menjadi Music Director, dengan menulis beberapa lagu dan musik latar, yang ditampilkan oleh Aksan Sjuman & Fantasia Orchestra, conducted by Indra Perkasa. Setelah sukses dengan pentas drama musikal “Indonesia Digdaya”, Semarang, 29 November 2011, kerjasama dengan Beswan Djarum Foundation, Mirwan Suwarso, dan Aksan Sjuman (sebagai Music Director), maka MSP Entertainment akan mempersembahkan pertunjukan yang spektakuler di awal tahun ini, yaitu pagelaran drama sinema “Gatotkaca Jadi Raja” yang memadukan seni wayang orang dan wayang kulit tradisional dengan elemen dunia hiburan masa kini yaitu sinema, musik rock dan visual effects. Untuk Music Director tetap Aksan Sjuman, bersama Fantasia Orchestra, dengan melibatkan sebagian besar Mahasiswa dan Dosen dari Ponpin Music. Soprano saxophonist and composer Joe Rosenberg studied with the legendary Joe Viola, Buddy Collete and clarinetist John Carter and is a recipient of a 1995 Jazz Performance fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Joe currently leads two quartets, Signal to Noise and JRQ, both with Masako Hamamura on piano, Peter Scherr on bass, and Edward Perraud on drums.
Signal to Noise performs Joe’s original compositions, taking advantage of structure and procedures to explore new possibilities of collective improvisation. JRQ plays jazz standards, bringing this quartet’s highly interactive and exploratory approach, while respecting the forms and tradition of the music.
In both musics, values such as sound, color, texture, space, and development are at the forefront of the work. “When everything’s working we are like fish in water, completely submerged in the music, and yet unaware that we are even in water. And hopefully we bring the listener into this world with us.”
In addition to leading his own groups Joe has performed with internationally known artists such Buddy Collette, Dewey Redman, Gary Foster, Mark Helias, and Tom Rainey.

Ponpin School of Music has new management, the structure as follows: Aksan Sjuman as School Director, Mery Kasiman as Head of Academic, Nikita Dompas as Head of Communication, and Victor Pandiwijaya as Head of Business & Administration. We are looking forward to brighten the music industries of Indonesia.
Victor Pandiwijaya started to study music/classical guitar from age 13, through his pastor, then continued with Jassin Burhan at Kawai Music School, Bogor. When he was 15, he changed instrument to electric bass, learned by autodidact. After finished Senior High School, he was faced by two options, either studied Music Composition in Institut Kesenian Jakarta or University of Indonesia. For some reasons, then he decided the second option, until held Diploma 3 in Office Administration from FISIP-University of Indonesia, and Bachelor Degree in Finance Management from Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia.
For a while he enjoyed his career as stock broker in Jakarta Stock Exchange, until he met Ms.Tjut Nyak Deviana Daudsjah after Indonesian Open Jazz Festival 2004, that changed his career path. Then in 2006 he enrolled at Institut Musik Daya Indonesia, studied double bass with Doni Sundjoyo and Indra Perkasa, and other music subjects he learned from Tjut Nyak Deviana Daudsjah, Aksan Sjuman, Julian Abraham Marantika, Mery Kasiman, Titi Handayani Sjuman, Nikita Dompas, Nathania Karina, Jelia Megawati Heru, Rangga Tarmizi, Sandy Winarta, and Fauzi Saad. He also has taken some Master Classes from John Hondorp, Masako Hamamura, Ernst Glerum (Boi Akih Group), Mike del Ferro, and Robert Davidson (Topology).
In 2010, he did musical work, as one of the Script Writer and Music Director “Aku Bisa”, a musical drama tribute to Ibu Soed, performed in Teater Rama Shinta, Ancol, 20 July 2010. He also has performed in Java Jazz Festival with Jakarta Broadway Singers (2010) and TJNDD Trio featuring Dip’ah (2011). Now he is a member of Julian Marantika Trio.
Elfa Zulham
Elfa Zulham is an Indonesian native drummer but is a world residence who lives in europe and performs in different countries. His unique style of drumming is evident in his creativity with the music scene now days. He started to play drums at the age of 8, after his dad bought him a drum set for his birthday. He was born in Makassar, Indonesia in 1982, and grew up in Jakarta City, and luckily he was raised in a musical family background.
Back in year 2000, he decided to study more into Jazz & Contemporary music at the Institut Musik Daya Indonesia after joining The Jazz & Workshop byDeviana Daudsjah. There, he studied Jazz drumming with Aksan Sjuman before he left abroad to The Netherlands in year 2006.
In year 2008, he got a scholarship from The Dutch government, which gave him the opportunity to do an exchange study in The University of The Arts in Philadelphia, USA. And in Summer 2010, he received his Bachelor of Jazz performing back in The Prins Claus Conservatory, Groningen.
He had study drums with Ralph Peterson Jr, Owen Hart Jr, Steve Altenberg, Joost Van Schaik, and had lesson from Gene Jackson, Ari Honig, Ali Jackson, Greg Hutchinson and Willie Jones III. And also in The P.C.C school he’s lucky that he can study and got the chances to play with many great NY cats such asDavid Berkman, Alex Sipiagin, Joris Teepe, Freddie Bryant, Don Braden, Mark Gross, Kurt Weiss, Dena DeRose, Robin Eubanks and Bryan Lynch.
Some of his projects is with Tomorrow People Ensemble, Tokek Quartet, Organ Trio and with Re-bop Unit, which made a record in year 2007 with SaxophonistDick Oatts from NY, USA. And in Summer 2010, he just finished a recording with the Korean Jazz singer Yunmi Kang, which featured Alex Sipiagin (NY trumpeter). Beside being a sideman drummer, now he is focusing on writing his own composition and working on his own project called E.Z & The Line Up.
He has been traveling and performs in many different countries, such as Czech republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, Romania, USA (Philly & NY), and also in the Netherlands.
